Drawings, Bible costumes, and an outdoor adventure

A lady from church needed kids drawings for one of her classes she is taking.  So, the boys were to draw a picture...anything.  Amazingly, Joe actually did more than a scribble...and...he actually had interesting details I've not seen before.  So, maybe he can sit still long enough to draw something!!! :)

For school, we made Bible costumes.  Joe wanted in on the fun, too!
Jake shows off his scroll we made the first week of school.

Late in the week we went to a nearby wildlife refuge.  We enjoyed the bird viewing area.  The boys were excited to watch the birds...for quite a while.  They looked at the pictures below the window and yelled out which bird they thought they had seen.  Quite entertaining for sure!

We looked for all kinds of wildlife but only came up with a dying baby snake.  Jake wanted to rescue it by moving it to the grass (mom's job).  I used a stick...I hate snakes!  (Side note...later the same day I saw two snakes while mowing...I chased them and ran 'em over...even though I know they are good snakes!)
